So Brady & I have some distinct style dissagreements. I like classic vintage.  He likes new remakes of mid-century modern.  But I think we could agree on this living room.  We already have a similiar couch, so maybe we will go with that color scheme and mix some old peices in. That is when we finally move in...? :)

So I know I don't have a following on here yet, so I feel a little bit like I'm talking to myself. But I need a reason to get dressed some days.  As a stay at home mom, with a very calm social life these days, I find few reasons to throw on a cute out fit.  So I think I will start a fashion post for a few days this week, if nothing else I think the hubby will appreciate me getting dolled up:)

Well I'm off to look for tickets to orange county. I have a babyshower in a month for one of my best gal pals.(She's having twin girls!) I wouldnt miss it for the world. Could use some girl time too. 

Oh, & Brady has yet another interview today. Updates soon.

if I told you there'd be cake, would you come?

I made a red velvet cake, the traditional southern way. Ooohwee, I must say it was way good.  But I couldnt get the frosting on without crumbs falling into it? Do You need to chill the cake first? whats the technique? Well anyhow, todays project will be creating the piping for my new danish chair cushions. & then buying fabric for my rocking chair that I halfway painted red! post some before/after pics later today...

I am definitely jumping the gun here, but I am going to begin to work on a little girls room or a guest room until there's a little baby girl. I am mainly beginning this project because I have some dainty french provincial type of items I have been picking up at yard sales over the years that I would like to paint and re-purpose, just because I need a creative project.  Griffen is sleeping longer periods during the day. Thank the lord. So I have some free time. Not much but I will try and do some fun stuff to recharge my battery.

So the theme is very feminine and colorful, I am using these photos for inspiration!

So once again, I am slackin on the blog. Griffen is going to crawl anyday now. He does some backward movement I wouldnt quite call crawling but he gets places with it.  Brady and I have a bet on when he crawls, he picked April 26th, and I picked May 13th, I think I could very well win this one. I am happy to say that we are one excited little family. We are going to austin texas May 15th for a 3 night visit.  Brady has an interview and we plan to scope out prospects for a move.  We have never been but it sounds like a perfect fit for us. With the nice weather, lots of music, lower cost of living, lakes for outdoor activities.  And just being able to ride our bikes all year!  I will report back on if it is as good a fit as it sounds.  The winters are long and brutal here and we wouldnt miss them.  We would miss family dearly though, and that induces a stomache ache at the thought.  I must find a way get them to move with us? Brady is the love of my life and griffen is a healthy horse, signing out...and sending love to all my sugars

Updates! I have gotten so behind on this blog of mine. I envisioned getting on here daily or at least weekly.  But as some of you may understand, not all babies are good nappers. So Griff leaves me little time during our packed day to myself. oh well, we have fun every moment of it. sleep or no sleep :)
